The FakeVimes family of infections have long haunted the simple everyday user. Infections like these, often enter the system bundled with third party software. You should take great care when browsing the web and look what you are downloading and installing. Whenever you are absent in the installation process, you open the door for various kinds of infections. The infection blocks such applications as Task Manager, Registry Editor, Windows Explorer and disables you from using the browsers, be it Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. By blocking these applications and browsers, the clandestine program becomes a real pain in the ass to remove.
